A personal concept art study exploring cinematic frame composition and lighting, inspired by the movie Arrival. Created entirely in Blender and refined in Photoshop, this study focuses on visual storytelling through atmospheric lighting, camera framing, and mood.

Breakdown:

  1. Reference & Analysis: Studied key frames from Arrival to understand composition, scale, and atmosphere.
  2. Blocking & Layout: Created rough 3D blockouts in Blender to define camera angles, perspective, and spatial relationships.
  3. Lighting & Mood: Experimented with volumetric and directional lighting to capture a cinematic and immersive atmosphere.
  4. Detailing & Texturing: Added environmental details and textures in Blender to enhance realism and depth.
  5. Post-Processing in Photoshop: Refined color grading, contrast, and subtle visual effects to elevate cinematic quality.
